Freemans Confectionery Supplies Limited

One of the Midlands largest suppliers to the trade of confectionery, sweets, cakes and beverages.

At Freemans Confectionery we have one of the largest distribution centres in our field, shipping biscuits, confectionery, sweets, snack products, nuts, crisps, pop and flavoured water nationwide. Brands such as Fox's, McVitie's, Burtons, Lyons, Cadbury, and Coca-Cola all appear in our warehouse.

Our Company History

In 1987, House of Lancaster was formed as a packing company to rework products for Freemans Confectionery, who were wholesaling biscuits and confectionery products.

The owners, Harry and Linda Freeman, incorporated the wholesale business as Freemans Confectionery Supplies Ltd in 1993, and the company has since grown to be one of the country’s leading independent distributors of food products.

The premises at the National Distribution Centre, 5 mins from junction 10 of the M6, include a cash and carry centre, and a large, pallet-racked warehousing facility which handles an average of 1500 pallets incoming each week, all year round in a facility of around 44,000 sq.ft.

House of Lancaster is now the largest dedicated packer of broken and mis-shaped biscuits in the UK, operating 5 days a week in a purpose built, modern packing facility of some 28,000 sq.ft. Remedial work, stripping and repackaging is all carried out within the controls of an audited quality system to high standard, with full traceability.

As well as our own fleet of rigid HGV wagons to deliver to customers, we also use pre-approved hauliers who can meet the demands of delivery schedules across the country, as well as the regulatory provisions of their industry.
